Description:
Space Invaders is a classic Atari game in which the player is defending himself against 36 aliens raining down firepower. The player tries to shoot all the aliens before they either shoot him, or descend from the sky and destroy him by hand.

The "aliens" are the same as in Version 1.1, but the "shooter" is now a windows flag, changing the entire meaning of the game. Now it is showing Microsoft's fear of Linux and how they are trying to shoot it down at any cost...and how they will inevitably lose.

Linux Wars is a hack of an Atari 2600 ROM, Space Invaders. I hacked the aliens so they look like the icons of popular linux distributions. In the game they show from top to bottom as: Debian, Gentoo, RedHat, SlackWare, SUSE, and Ubuntu. The idea of the game is that their are so many linux distros fighting for people to use them, so this is showing the pressure given to the user for what distro to choose.
